Hey there, are you familiar with “MagicSFXphoto” (search on Google for it)? There you can watch a great free video featuring the best way to create better pictures. This made it easier for Daniel to take photos which have a jaw-dropping-effect while you look at them. It may help you as well.

  • Ledione Daniel says:

What distance would you recommend camera to be away from subjects??

  • PollyRDH98 says:

You’re never going to make a plus size bride look like a size 8. It’s about making her look her best. I think these tips would achieve that nicely.

    Lowe it!

Thanks alot for this video. I think posing is very underrated in photography, it seems more about the gear. This was very helpful

I am so glad that I came across this video……..at one point I thought that I made the bride and groom laugh too much but I’ve realized that this is needed for beautiful photos……I just have to look and study this method over and over…….just will save lots of time and energy. I often tell couples the lighting is great right here….now I will have extra posing tips but the problem is now I need another person to pose them while I snap the shots…

  • alberthaleem says:

Yooo! I’ve been struggling with how to pose the brides and groom. This video definitely got me to the next level!

  • TheNerdyCoty says:

After watching this I want to ask my cousin to re-do the wedding.

  • RichardHaall says:

Doug, This video is one of the best Ive seen on this subject.. most focus on things which would take hours this is was we need fast, fun and freaking awesome.

  • douggordonworkshops says:

This is actually built for plus size brides. That is where the tuck, the roll and lean come in. Also the key is covering the arms with the veil. The most important thing is to keep the camera height above eye level and you will be perfect!!!!!!

  • jlorf says:

For the most part… This is awesome! However, with a plus size bride… Not So Much! My last wedding, the groom was 150 and the bride 225ish. I tried to implement some of these techniques and, well, I had to get REALLY creative! :)

  • TheMarkWTaylor says:

Thanks Doug, yes very helpful! I have watched this video and the following one over and over. I’m going to apply these techniques at my next wedding in a couple weeks. Thanks for putting these videos together!! :-)
